Applying for an AHC with The Travel Cert Vet

This is a ‘click and collect’ Animal Health Certificate service with collection points in North and West Yorkshire. Please book an appointment online on your chosen collection date.

Your appointment must:

  • Be at least 21 days after your pet’s primary rabies vaccination (where the date of rabies vaccination is counted as day 0).

  • Be within 10 days of entry to the EU (with the date of issue counting as day 1).

The pricing above is for our 'standard' AHC's which ensure I have all required documentation 7 days prior to your appointment. If you require an 'urgent' AHC appointment (ie less than 7 days), this is charged at £199 (+£35 for additional pets).

Vaccination information:

You need to contact your own vet practice where your pet’s rabies vaccination was administered and give them permission to send the details directly to me at letsgo@thetravelcertvet.co.uk. (This is an additional vaccine to their annual booster.)

These details must include:

  • The owner’s information

  • Microchip number

  • Evidence that the microchip was scanned at the time of vaccination

  • Date of vaccination

  • Manufacturer and batch number of the vaccine used

I am unable to accept this information from you directly - it must come straight from your vet practice.

Before your appointment:

  • You’ll receive an invoice, which will need to be paid on receipt.

  • I’ll also send you a short form by email so I have all the information required to generate your Animal Health Certificate.
(Note: you don’t need to upload rabies vaccine information here — I must receive this directly from your vet.)

At your appointment

I need to meet:

  • The owner travelling with the pet (or someone authorised in writing by the owner), and

  • The pet itself.

This is so that I can:

  • Scan your pet’s microchip

  • Check your pet is fit to travel

  • Witness you signing the official declaration

Once that’s complete, you’ll leave with your Animal Health Certificate ready for travel.
